Lemon Balm Seeds

Lemon Balm, Melissa officinalis, is a favorite of honey bees and other pollinators. It has long, nectar filled white blossoms. Use it in teas and other dishes for it’s light, refreshing lemon flavor. It is good with fish, and can also be made into a pesto.

Like all our herbs, these are non-GMO.

Directions:

    1. Pick a spot that gets good sun.
    2. Plant after the risk of frost, but before Mid June. You can also sow Lemon Balm in windowsill gardens. Sow Lemon Balm seed balls in container, as it spreads readily.
    3. Keep Lemon Balm moist while germinating. Peppermint seedlings are very tiny, but grow quickly.
    4. Water when the soil gets dry.
    5. Harvest Lemon Balm leaves and use fresh in teas, cocktails, and confections. When coming into seed, harvest by cutting an inch above soil and dry in the sun. Store cool and dry for tea, or blend fresh with a light oil for pesto.
